We are extremely saddended to hear of the passing of Old Edmundian Michael Budd who passed away on  27th September 2022 at the age of 85.  

Born in Calcutta in December 1936, Michael joined St Hugh's as a Boarder in 1947 and boarded whilst his parents were in India.  He went into Junior House in 1948 and then Talbot House from 1949 to 1954. 

A Choirboy during his time here, Michael found spending time in the Chapel particularly special when he last visited the College about 10 years ago.  Michael had very fond memories of his time at St Edmund's and wanted the College to be mentioned in his obituary which can be read here: Michael Budd obituary
