We ask our Old Edmundian community to pray for Guy Scammell who sadly passed away very suddenly on 29th November 2022 in London at the Charing Cross Hospital. His passing came as a terrible shock to Guy’s wife Judy and children Wizz and Anthony as he was so fit and well but knowing he did not endure a lengthy hospital stay was of great comfort to them.

Guy attended St Hugh’s from 1950 to 1955 and then onto the College (Talbot House) until 1961.

A service of thanksgiving was held for Guy on 15th December and was extremely well attended by family and friends. It was a lovely service and special tributes were paid by two of Guy’s close friends. An audio recording of the speeches is available should anyone wish to listen.
