It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr Cecil Friedlander, who celebrated his 100th birthday just five days before, on August 25th. He passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, surrounded by his family.
Dr. Friedlander made significant contributions to St Edmund's during his tenure from 1968 to 1985. He held various positions including Head of Biology, Director of Studies, Housemaster of Challoner, Assistant Headmaster, and teacher of General Studies and RE.
The funeral will be held at Chirk Catholic Church, Llangollen on 11th September 2024. Anyone who knew him will be welcome.
May he rest in peace.
